San Antonio Zoo

In the 1800s the San Antonio Zoo started out with a few animals at San Pedro Park. By 1914 Brackenridge Park became home to lions, bears, monkeys buffalo, deer, and elk. Since that time, the zoo has grown to more than 8,500 animals featuring exhibits such as the Hixon Bird House, Amazonia, Gibbon Forest, African Plains, the Nature Spot, Wild Wonders, Cranes of the World, Toadally, and Africa Live.

Other zoo attractions include Lory Landing, Animal & Guest Encounters, Butterflies, and Zoo Train.

Military: When you sign up as a member of the zoo, youíll receive 10% off your zoo membership. You must present your military I.D. to receive this discount.
