Zoo Lights Memphis 2013!
Christmas is not only about presents, snow, Santa and jingle bells. It is also about zoo lights. If you are in Memphis, Tennessee, experiencing zoo lights the Memphis Zoo way is necessary. Watching hundreds to thousands of twinkling lights is an annual event for the entire family.
Memphis Zoo lights officially opened in November, earmarked by the tree-lighting ceremony. The management created new event features to make the zoo lights more enjoyable and exciting. For instance, the zoo has a new 90-ft Led-lighted Ferris wheel that the kids and kids at heart will surely enjoy. There is also the Memphis Zoo on Ice, an ice skating rink for the kids.
Of course, the old time favorites will still be there. Aside from light displays, there will be live reindeer, illusion shows, animal encounters, free tram rides, and singing Christmas trees. The zoo’s gift shop, Cat House Café and expo building will be opened daily and nightly as well.
Prices and Discounts:
During zoo lights Tennessee, general admission rates apply. Non-members have to pay their admission fee. Memphis zoo lights coupons are offered to members wherein a $1 discount is offered for their admission fee. However, both members and non-members have to pay a fee if they want to take a Ferris wheel ride.
Dates and Times:
Nightly times are from 5:30 pm to 10 pm. Zoo lights will be open late November. Be sure to check their official schedule for closed days and special times.
