The Baton Rouge Zoo houses close to two-thousand different animals. The zoo has extended hours from April through August:
9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

The zoo is closed for Thanksgiving, New Year’s Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

To get to the zoo, take Interstate 110 North and excite on 8A. Turn right onto Highway 19 for two stoplights, until you reach Thomas Road. Take a right. The zoo entrance will be one mile on your left.
