Audubon Zoo

The Audubon Zoo is ranked as one of the top 10 zoos you must visit if you’re living in or traveling to the city of New Orleans.

The zoo is home to more than 2,000 exotic animals. These include alligators, penguins, lions, flamingos, manatees, turtles, snakes, and bears. In addition to the animal exhibits, you can visit the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas and Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium. Through its educational programs, the Audubon Zoo seeks to educate the community about animal species and the importance of protecting them. During the holidays or summer you can send your children to camp, where they can partake in activities such as zoo hikes, arts and crafts, and animal shows and feedings. If you prefer a camping option for the entire family, sign up for an overnight scout program.
