Calgary Zoo Lights

2013 Updated!

If a Calgary Zoo visit in Canada is what you have in mind, then you are making the right decision. The zoo management decided to make this year’s zoo lights festival even more festive after being voted as the Best Christmas Event of 2011. The zoo added more light displays as well as more figures and activities. The approximate account of this year’s lights is about 1.5 million. Do not fret though because the zoo is using environmentally-friendly lights.

Prices:

Admission rates at Calgary Zoo zoo lights are posted on their site. Check that out for more details.

Tickets:

Tickets can be also bought online or through 403-232-9300. Canada zoo lights coupons are offered for guests who will come in group. Special group rates await those who will pre-purchase their admission tickets as well.

Hours and Dates:

Zoo lights hours are from 6 to 9 pm although the gates will be closed by 8:30 pm. The zoo will be open from end of November to beginning of January. However, it will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Experience the holiday traditions and forget the passing times with the activities that the Calgary Zoo prepares for its guests. Guests are allowed to talk to Santa; the conversation can be downloaded later. You may also make a wish at the zoo’s Country 105 Wishing Tree. There will be also ice carving demos on Fridays and Saturdays.

You may enjoy all these activities while sipping hot chocolate against the winter weather. This is the only way that you can enjoy this great Canadian weather. You will be immersed into the warmth of the season that you will forget that you are in a zoo. If this is not the best way to celebrate the season, I don’t know what is.
